Serve on a bed of rice, get a rice cooker!
This meal is a go-to. Its is nourishing, healthy and tasty for all ages. You can try many different variations on this you can switch up the spices, try serving it on different types of carbohydrates... whatever you fancy.
Step 1: Sauté the chopped onion, with the herbs and spices. Add 2 tbsps of paprika
Step 2: Mix in the tomatoes, the lentils and the chopped carrots.
Step 3: cover instantly with 1.5L of water, cover and bring to a boil. When boiling, bring temperature down to a simmer until the lentils are cooked, which will take about 15-20 minutes.
Step 4: Blend all ingredients with a stick mixer.
Step 5: Serve into a bowl, add some more paprika a light drizzle of olive oil and of course, a splash of lemon. Enjoy.
